The Lassen County Fair is extremely fortunate to have a talented group of individuals who help run the Livestock Department during the Lassen County Fair. They continue to come back and help us every year and we are lucky to have them. Please don't be afraid to tell them how much you appreciate them!
JAIME SANCHEZ, LIVESTOCK SUPERINTENDENT
I attended Shasta College in Redding, California where I earned my A. A. General Education &
Agriculture CSU, Chico and a B.S. Agriculture w/ Emphasis in Education. While at Chico State I was also the Student Herdsman at the Sheep unit on the Chico State Farm, Advisor for the CSUC Stock Dog Association and raised club lambs and Australian Kelpies. I have been an Agriculture Instructor 6 years and I am currently teaching at Lathrop HS (Manteca Unified School District) I teach Shop, Animal Science, & Ag Biology. I am also employed by CA State Fair as Beef II Superintendant and Quality Assurance & Ethics Instructor. I have been the past Superintendent at the Lassen County Fair for three years and this will be my fourth year heading up the department.
NANCY SATICA, HEAD ENTRY CLERK 
Nancy has served the Fair for Many years as our Past Livestock Superintendent and now as our Head Entry Clerk. She is responsible for making sure all of your entries get entered into the Lassen County Fair, all your judges are doing their job, and she manages all the building displays at the Fair. Nancy enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and her mom and has been involved with Lassen County Cattlewomen for numerous years. She is also a member of the Schafer School Board. Nancy is a very important person to the fair and we love her!
KENDRA LEWIS LIVESTOCK STAFF
I have been teaching for the past five years at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill. I have taug
ht ag biology, geology, ag geology, ag physical science, ag mechanics,environmental horticulture, and veterinary science. I received my masters degree in ag education in 2007 from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I have two credentials from Chico State one is a single subject credential in Agriculture and one is a Specialist credential in Agriculture. I graduated from Chico State in 2001 with my bachelors degree in Agriculture Science with an option in Education. I also just recently passed the CSET exam to gain my authorization on my credential to teach anything with geosciences. Currently, I am the FFA beef and sheep advisor for students in my program. I have coached multiple judging teams and had numerous members receive degrees and awards in the program for speaking contests, and project areas. I also help manage the 8 acre school farm. I have worked in the Lassen County Fair Office and in the Livestock Department for Several Years.
JESSICA LEWIS LIVESTOCK STAFF
I grew up in Susanville where I participated actively in FFA, FBLA, and golf. I enjoyed showing sheep and swine and won a reserve grand champion trophy with a market lamb. After receiving my A.A. from Lassen College, I moved to Chico where I got my BA in liberal studies. While at Chico I was an active member of the Stock Dog Association where I met Jaime and learned how to train my Kelpie on livestock. I currently live in Elko, Nevada where I teach 6th grade. I just received my Masters Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton. In my spare time I enjoy hunting deer and elk, gardening and riding horses. This is my 6th year with the Lassen County fair and I am looking forward to working with great friends, and seeing many smiling and warm faces from the exhibitors and parents!
Sandy Raffelson Horse Show Manager
This is Sandy’s second year running the Lassen County Fair Horse Show. Sandy brought the 4H/FFA Horse Show back to Lassen County 8 years ago and has kept it going. Before moving to Lassen County 11 years ago, Sandy ran the Logan County 4H Gymkhana events for the Logan County fair for several years and helped with the Queens contest for two Counties. Sandy has an AA in Equine Management and her BS in Business. She participates in AHA horse shows, open shows, endurance riding and breeding horses. Sandy is a member of the AHA, AERC, Pinto, and the US Equestrian Federation. She says,A perfect day is out riding with my family!

LINDA WAGNER SMALL ANIMAL LIVESTOCK SUPERINTENDENT
Linda has worked as the small animal Livestock Superintendent for many years. Her love and dedication for the kids, and animals shows in all the time she puts in each year before and during the fair. We are very lucky to have her!
